The Pipe & Glass is a former coaching inn set in the glorious surroundings of the Dalton Estate in East Yorkshire.

Whenever we travel up north, we always try to eat at this fantastic place because the food is just heavenly!

Since 2010 the pub and restaurant have gained an international reputation and many major awards, including a Michelin star.

Their regularly changing menus, including one for vegetarians, reflect the seasons and they even have a special menu for children.

We love the fact that muddy boots & paws are very welcome.

The atmosphere is informal and friendly. And we must add that the staff working at the Pipe & Glass is very hospitable. They always take such good care of us.

The Pipe and Glass also offers nine luxury boutique rooms across two sites; The Garden Rooms, at the pub itself and The Old Lambing Yard, just a stone’s throw away in the village.

The next time we head up to Yorkshire, we will try one of these rooms and report back!

Walking

Did we mention the muddy boots?

Start walking in the East Riding of Yorkshire!

There are many great walks around the Pipe & Glass so why not go for a walk first and have a wonderful lunch later.

If you are planning to walk the Yorkshire Wolds Way or the East Riding Heritage Way from Hull, you can sleep and eat at the Pipe & Glass because it is on route.
