When visiting Bradford on Avon, a historic market town set in the beautiful Bristol Avon Valley, we stayed at Timbrell’s Yard.

Timbrell’s Yard is a stylish riverside boutique hotel, with an excellent restaurant, a bar and pub, and wonderful bedrooms.

Located just 7 miles from Bath, on the south eastern edge of the Cotswolds AONB, this boutique hotel is an excellent base to explore both Wiltshire and Somerset.

All the rooms are elegantly furnished and designed to offer guests all they need for a comfortable and relaxing stay.

Great food, bar snacks and small plates are available all day. You can either relax at the bar or dine in the buzzing restaurant.

Overseen by Tom Blake, formerly of River Cottage, Timbrell’s Yard serves food which is local, authentic and it tastes fantastic!

Bradford on Avon

Bradford on Avon is often referred to as “The jewel in Wiltshire’s crown”. And even so often described as ‘Little Bath’ because of its striking architecture.

It used to be a wool town and it prospered when Flemish weavers arrived in 1659. Much of the architecture reflects the prosperity of this period.
