The Unruly Pig is our go-to place whenever we visit the Suffolk Coast AONB.

This multi award winning 16th century Suffolk Inn offers exceptional food, great wines, craft beers and an excellent customer service.

The staff really knows how to take care of their guests and they will go that extra mile to ensure guests have an extraordinary dining experience.

They describe their dishes as unfussy ‘Britalian’ food cooked with care, skill and passion. We couldn’t agree more.

The food is fresh, local, seasonal and high-level.

When you enter the Unruly Pig the first thing you notice is the fact that it is a traditional pub.

It has cosy log burners, original oak beams, sloping ceilings but it has a contemporary feel to it due to the eclectic mixture of pop and local art.

The pub is located in Bromeswell, only 5 minutes drive from the historic market town of Woodbridge and just 4 minutes drive from Sutton Hoo.

Walking

We would recommend combining lunch or diner at the Unruly Pig with a visit to Sutton Hoo, the world-famous Anglo–Saxon royal burial site.

You can also enjoy three varied walks exploring the town of Woodbridge, the River Deben and the Suffolk countryside.

Discover the fascinating history of the Woodbridge waterfront with its beautiful much-photographed Tide Mill.

From the 1400s to the 1700s this area was the centre of a thriving ship building industry.

Merchant and naval ships were built for customers including Edward III and Sir Francis Drake.
