Walwick Hall
Along Hadrian’s Wall, just outside Northumberland National Park, you will find Walwick Hall.
It is a 4-star boutique hotel with a great restaurant and Spa in Northumberland.
Because of its location we ended up having a late lunch at Walwick Hall and it was simply perfect!
Even though we had our muddy boots on, the staff gave us a warm welcome and we had the best lunch while walking Hadrian’s Wall Path.
Next time we might even try one of the boutique rooms or one of the seven self-catering suites. But we will most definitely be back for lunch or diner.
Walking
Walwick Hall is located almost on the Hadrian’s Wall Path. A stone’s throw away you will find Chesters Roman Fort and Museum.
A short 2,5-mile walk takes in this English Heritage site and Humshaugh village. It is a nice after lunch stroll.
Section 3 of the Hadrian’s Wall Path starts at Chollerford and ends at Steel Rigg.
By the time you clear Chesters Roman Fort heading west, you will experience the best-preserved stretch of Hadrian’s Wall.
Hadrian’s Wall Country offers great scenic walks for everyone.
Whether you prefer an easy stroll or a long strenuous walk. Just take it slow and enjoy this unique landscape on foot.
