Bibury is one of the most popular of the classic Cotswolds villages because of its exceptionally beautiful church and an array of picturesque cottages.

Anyone visiting this beautiful part of Gloucestershire is bound to visit Bibury.

In high season this village is overrun by tourists therefor we often visit the Cotswolds in wintertime just to avoid the crowds.

Arlington Row

Just across the River Coln towards the church end of the village, you will see a terrace of low-gabled weavers’ cottages.

These are the most photographed cottages in the Cotswolds.

They belong to the National Trust and are still occupied. The path in front of Arlington Row continues up Awkward Hill, which is lined with attractive cottages.

If you walk parallel to the river, you will encounter Bibury Trout Farm where you can catch your own fish.

Just across the road is the famous Swan Hotel, an elegant place to stay or to take afternoon tea.
