We have stayed at Knelle Dower Studio many times and it is always such a treat to spend time in this beautiful part of Sussex.

Knelle Dower Studio offers luxury 5-star Bed and Breakfast accommodation nestled into the secluded grounds of a 15th century timber-framed Tudor building.

Reached by its own driveway, the Studio, a charming converted barn, is separate from the main house and totally private.

Every morning Bettina & Jon prepare a wonderful scrumptious breakfast.

Explore

The Studio is located within the High Weald AONB and therefore perfectly placed to explore Rye, East Sussex and Kent.

We always try to visit the Great Dixter which is situated within walking distance of the Studio. But there is so much more to explore. Like the gardens at Sissinghurst and Pashley Manor.

The ancient Cinque Ports of Rye and Winchelsea with their cobbled streets, art galleries, unusual shops and restaurants are a 10 minute drive away.

Walking

There are so many great walks in this area. Go and visit Bodiam Castle and try a 5-mile circular walk.

If you like a challenge then we would recommend the High Weald Landscape Trail.

This 90-mile route meanders through the High Weald from east to west, linking ridge-top villages and historic gardens for which the area is famous.
